In an interview of Joel Gallen in Los Angeles Magazine, the music supervisors were discussing the use of Orgy's "Blue Monday" for a football scene in Not Another Teen Movie, among others. Stating that the song "had energy", they eventually selected it for the movie, and it appeared in the soundtrack as well.
