Great Crime Documentary of the Bronx in the 70's
swking-0730028 December 2022
VERY Interesting, and well documented exploits of a tough cop during a particularry disastrous time in New York. The program is narrated by a cop that was considered the best. I only wish there were more episodes.

The narrative provides the detail of each episode while the background switches from dramatic reenactment to historical footage of the Bronx at the time.

It's amazing to see the difference between the Bronx of the 70's and the Bronx today.

If you're looking for New York historical crime shows, this one should be at the top of your list.

For me, this is Highly, Highly Recommended.

Audio Defect

There seems to be a trend in movie and TV productions recently. The background sound "blend" is so over powering, I can't even hear WTF the characters are saying. Why is this? Some producer sitting somewhere instructs his audio guy to raise and lower some background sounds to supposedly amplify the intensity of the moment. Jesus Christ! What's the point? I had to turn this first episode off after about 20 minutes. I'd been anticipating a terrific new cop series after watching the commercial build up to this show for the past several weeks. I don't get it. UN-watchable.
