Dealing with Tragedy
jeroduptown6 March 2022
Mom has shut down after the loss of her husband. She's turned agoraphobic and won't do anything but work in the funeral home basement. Enter single guy. Exit blow up doll that she pretends is her dead hubby. Almost. But no.

Just love this film! Soo unique, funny, warm and deep. The characters really pulled me in and did such a great job of relating all the emotions they were going thru. It was beautifully written, acted and directed and highly recommend watching this movie!!! BRAVO to the entire cast, crew and writer!!!!!

Some books, songs or movies come just when you need them. Wake. is that movie for me. Touching and warm, offbeat and just a delight! Kudos to this whole crew for bringing this flick together! Love love loved it!!!

Surprisingly Good!

Great idea for a story. Jame Denton, Myndy Crist and Paige Searcy were excellent.

Sweet, quirky, poignant film

Lovely film about the nature of grief and how to forgive ourselves when tragedy strikes and learn to live again. Strong cast with a Stand out performance by Paige Searcy as the daughter, Sam. I love the writers dialogue as it resonates as honest and true.

More Relevant Than Ever...

Even though this film is a few years old, it's more relevant than ever. It's worth watching for anyone who is struggling with the pandemic of being indoors. It's also great to see comedians (Jo Koy) taking on more serious roles instead of the loud mouth vulgar sidekick.
