After dropping a vial of strange, blue liquid, Morty has a strange, but somehow beautiful, experience in several minutes of colorful and amazing animation in different art styles. After it's over, Morty asks Rick about the vials contents. Rick replies by saying it was "pure LSD." It turns out that the whole video was just an acid trip.

Here we have "Rick and Morty Exquisite Corpse" (not sure why they went with the second half of the title here), a 3.5-minute commercial basically from July 2017 for the new season of the show mentioned in the title by Emmy winner Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, both bearded men. I have not seen the show, but I saw two courtroom-centered short films about R&M in the last year and I guess these were at least as weak as this one we got here, maybe even worse. The whole thing is basically an animated LSD-induced trip showing us what happens when Morty has a glass of acid slip through his fingers bursting on the ground. It is pretty obscene and violent, not too sexual with the exception of the bedroom scene and one character is tied to the bedpost, which shows us the wrong priorities about taboos in the American entertainment industry. Anyway, back to this one here, there are some interesting references and many different animation styles including a journey into what Rick and Morty would have looked like in the early years of cartoon almost a century ago. It was a very fast little movie, slightly bold, but also very much rushed as the material was simply too much for 200 seconds. For me personally, it was not on a level that would either get me curious about the show or let me recommend this one to others. I give it a thumbs-down.
