-Mario Thouin is a seducer with dubious intentions. The professional fraudster swindled several elderly women for hundreds of thousands of dollars. One of the women had the courage to denounce the scammer to the SPVM, who arrested him and put an end to his scheme. Thouin, a notorious repeat offender, was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

-Rehtaeh Parsons, 17, takes her own life a year and a half after being cyberbullied. A photo of the teenager showing her naked taken by her attackers while they were abusing her quickly went viral on social networks. Despite the support of her parents, Rehtaeh could not overcome this ordeal and killed herself.

-On August 19, 2005, Dino Antonelli, who had just been dumped by his girlfriend, deliberately drove into a bus shelter where his ex-girlfriend's brother, Jamie Chase, her new lover and friends were present. Antonelli was sentenced to five years in prison. Jamie Chase had to undergo a dozen surgeries and will be scarred for life.

-Immacula Eugène mistreated several residents with Alzheimer's disease at the CHSLD Saint-Lambert-sur-le-Golf, in addition to administering sleeping pills to some of them. A family member of a resident filed a complaint. Suspecting abuse, the octogenarian's relatives had installed a camera in her room which captured images of Immacula Eugène in flagrante delicto. In 2015, the attendant was sentenced to 15 months in prison.

-Marie-Chantal Gadbois, a 33-year-old mother, operated a private daycare in her home. In 2005, she began offering daycare services to a 14-month-old girl. In less than three weeks, she abused the child in a manner consistent with shaken baby syndrome. The child will suffer lifelong injuries including several broken bones and brain damage.
