I grew up in the same town where the crime takes place and even attended the same college, Hope College, that Janet Chandler was a student at. I found it intriguing that such a brutal crime was committed in the same sleepy town I lived in for years and this ID show would do an episode on it. I have driven countless times by the motel that Chandler worked at, which looks just about the same as it did when she worked there. After further research, I found that the paint factory the security guards were located at, including the house where Chandler was raped and killed at, was merely blocks away from the house I grew up in. This show does an excellent job telling not only the story of the crime itself, but the events that led up to it. The narration done by the victim makes it all the more sinister. The interviews with individuals that were a part of the case and knew the victim added to the reality of the story. Very cool that the crime was able to be solved after being cold for 25+ years.

Truly shocking episode!

This was the most shocking episode of Betrayed I had seen so far, what happened to Janet was truly devastating, and to know that ALL of these thugs and her Best Friend had participated in her rape and murder was extremely shocking, and what's really sad is that it took 25 years to discover the culprits.
