Novice attempt needs work
raven-sirius30 November 2018
There were some good lines, a good twist, a good concept. But seriously it was made cheaply and it shows. There was some terrible direction with stunted editing. It was an old and tired trope with very little to make it worthy. It would not surprise me if it gets some terrible reviews.

That said I did laugh a few times, at the end. It was good for a student work. But this was not what I would call a blockbuster film.

Would be better as a show than as a movie.
deloudelouvain31 December 2018
My wife thought this was a lame movie, with bad acting and a cheap plot. Me on the other hand thought Clyde Cooper was made with the intention to look like an old detective series in the style of Mannix, Magnum, PI, Moonlighting or other detective shows from the eighties. Peter Daskaloff must have watched all those shows when he was young, like me and many others did. If you watch Clyde Cooper with those shows in mind then it isn't that bad. I could see Clyde Cooper as a detective show instead of a movie, that would work better. But I can see the point of my wife, the acting isn't award winning neither is the plot, but I saw much worse so it wasn't all that bad to me.

Total waste of time...bad plot, bad acting, terrible! Lots of fake reviews, how can this get 9 or 10 stars?

This modern Film Noir was so fun to watch!
halasius-0595424 November 2018
I loved this modern film-noir. It's highly recommended. As mysteries go, this movie is pretty effective one. It is entertaining, and detective Cooper is very enjoyable. The big puzzle at the center of the film is revealed towards the end, and Cooper has a real funny inner monologue there. It was fun to watch!

I liked the Blonde with a zapper

Warning: Spoilers
Clyde Cooper (Jordi Vilasuso) is a private detective in Silicon Valley at some time in the near future. Vincent Donovan (Richard Neil) hires him to locate a girl he was with a few weeks and was smitten. Now she is gone and he can't locate her. In his search for the girl (Aria Sirvaitis) he uncovers what he believes to be a high-end prostitution ring, one that would kill to have him stop snooping.

This was an interesting film with beautiful girls. Liked the twist.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

A good movie to watch on the couch at home. It won't stress you and most probably will make you smile a lot throughout. Very good!

Better than I expected!
Jolie24244 January 2019
A movie I put on in the evening while playing board games with friends because it looked attractive. All of us tuned out of the game and laughed along to the serious, but not comical modern detective classic. Cooper had us all entertained through his ravenous adventures to find this girl, and the twist in the end is super fun.. not to mention plausible (in this day and age)!

Old film noir tradition movie
ilya-2824 November 2018
A really good detective movie in the old film noir tradition. All the elements are there, the P.I., the missing woman, a body, and some strange characters. The real mystery lies elsewhere, and it has more to do with who these people are and how they stand with each other and the world.

Fun, Thrilling, and Entertaining!

I loved this film! I thought the leading guy, Jordi, did a fantastic job carrying the film and the supporting actors gave great performances as well. This movie was very interesting and easy to watch. There were a lot of cool quirks in the movie too. Will definitely recommend!

The Big Sleep for the 21st century
jeffbeauvoir25 November 2018
A neonoir puzzler in the spirit of classic Chandler/Bogart flicks but with a protagonist who vapes instead of chain smokes. Jordi Vilasuso is an extremely charismatic gumshoe. Like any strong detective movie, it bears (and practically requires) repeated viewings. Whether or not you can piece together the plot on a first watch, the scene-to-scene action is delivered with flair, energetic pace, and cool visual concepts. Genre aside, this is an indie thriller with high production value and a dynamic ensemble cast. Clyde Cooper has the potential to become a fictional universe in its own right.

Unexpected!
kossara_ss2 December 2018
This movie is astonishing! I usually don't enjoy the old noir type of movies, so I was a bit sceptical at first. The movie starts slowly, but with bit of patience, you get one of the best experiences a movie could provide- a detective story filled with drama, pretty girls and a lot of action. Can't wait for a second one!

Charming flick
cherriedaskaloff26 November 2018
This film was slightly uneven but pretty damn good. Jordi Vilasuso is not quite a revelation but he's certainly no slouch either as Cooper. The plot is a bit campy, but I guess that was on purpose. It gives the film charm, and the twist in the final act is pretty clever.

A classic film noir!
kamenbinev26 November 2018
A new look on a classic genre filled with excitement. The movie starts a little slow but as time progresses the plot becomes more and more intriguing and twisted. Our main character is developing really nice and towards the end you start to feel a little bit sorry for the guy. The clever monologue also helps a lot and I felt very connected to the character. If you are a fan of the genre I strongly recommend you check it out.

Excellent work by Peter Dasakaloff and his crew! This is probably the best film noir that I've seen in the last 10 years. Great story, characters, camera work, editing and soundtrack - All superb!

Very fun!
rvanjellari6 December 2018
A lot of action, pretty girls and laughs, what more could you want? Only thing I could recommend is to not watch this with your family for example, because it does contain a couple of NSFW scenes. Other than that, I enjoyed every single minute of it.

I Came for the Pretty Women but stayed for the clever fun
jake-2559826 September 2020
I wasn't expecting much but Jordi Vilasuso as Clyde Cooper showed signs of becoming a big star. The female cast were all lovely and charming. And the script was funny. I liked it. It won't win any Oscars but it's not a waste of time.
