Mostly derived from other people's work with little to no real understanding of the original content

An original premise in a unique setting with well conceived multidimensional characters and an engaging plot carried out over multiple story arcs. If anyone were to ask me what I thought of the original Reboot series from Mainframe entertainment (circa the 1990s) this is how I would describe it to them. Alas, I cannot say the same for Reboot: Guardians Code.

At its best Reboot: Guardians Code struggles to be mediocre with a TV sitcom level of two dimensional characters and a lackluster story. What it doesn't "borrow" from contemporary works such as Code Lyoko and Power Rangers it just gets plain wrong often dropping the quality of an episode from a solid "Meh" to a "I am now dumber for having watched that". To top it off in the latter episodes we even get what I can only assume was the series writers 'playful' attempts to pay homage to the original Reboot series through cameos and bad references which just left me outright offended.

In the end I cannot recommend that anyone of any age group watch this series. It is all too clear that series writer/producer Michael Hefferon and Rainmaker entertainment have no real understanding of what made the series so remarkable and that's a shame.
