- A couple of brief innuendos in dialogue but these are very easy to miss.
- In one cutscene the main protagonist kisses a female whilst in their underwear before a log fire, but it fades to black.
Violence & Gore

- some of zombie violence
- The player will encounter large groups of zombies who will charge at the enemy the player can shoot these zombies or take them out with melee weapons.
- When the player shoots a zombie blood squirts out of the zombie. it isn't graphic.
- Like a lot of zombie games, when shot will result in a little spray of blood (easy to miss). The MA rating is a bit too strict. If this was a movie, it would be rated M for some violence and suspense.
- A woman is seen with broken legs. Full fracture is shown. This is the goriest scene in the game.
- A few instances of throats being slit, not graphic and not gory.
- heads can be dismembered or blown off. Limbs can be dismembered.
Profanity

- The language in this game is all in a context as the protagonist is frequently in dangerous situation.
- Sh**, f***, and GD are used frequently throughout the game. Couple uses of B****.
- The language is not severe. It is sutable for 13 and up to hear.
- Having played the entirety of the story of Days Gone, I can safely say that the profanity in this game is mild to moderate, the f word is used sparsely, the b word and s word is used fairly occasionally. It is nothing a 13 year old couldn't handle, and the game itself deserved to be GOTY. Buy this game for your kid.

- Several mission are to track down your alcoholic friend called Boozer.
- The main protagonist mentions Margaritas and a Weed farm in a flashback.
- There are two missions called "Drugged Outta His Mind" and "The Rest Of Our Drugs"
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- There are some jump scares not very scary though.
- The gameplay can put you on the edge of your seat as you are being chased by zombies.
- The game can get bleak at points.
- The hordes can be very intense. The sawmill is the most challenging as it contains the most amount of infected, and it's very intense when they begin to chase the player. Players have to be quick, and on the move at all times, and take them out smartly, you can't just stand and shoot.

- Boozer arm is burned with a blow torch. It goes on for a prolonged amount of time, and it's entirely onscreen.
- Boozer has his arm amputated due to the burns causing infection.

- There's a junkie character that steals drugs
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- A junkie character is taking by other humans. He does survive and is saved. It is a bit scary.
- A teen girl is kidnapped by a vicious gang multiple times. Can be upsetting for some.
- A 15 year old girl is saved with multiple scars all over her face, and she's very traumatized when decaon saves her.
- Scenes where boozer begins to freak out, and lash out at decaon may be intense giving how loyal and nice he is, the infection on his arm was causing him to have visions and hearing voices, and he begins to freak out due to being isolated. Thankfully he is treated, and he returns to normal.
- Decaon is a tragic character, as he lost his wife, and failed to help his best friend survive, and feels guilty over the kid Lisa who he protects as she's kidnapped a few times, or goes missing, and one scene, decaon finds her tortured by rippers, and she's left traumatized. Decaon does find his wife though, but the apocalypse left him bitter, and closed off to others.
- In a cutscene where deek and boozer are escorting Sarah to the roof they come across a man that is enraged because his wife is dead deek and the man get into a wrestle and deek shoots him as he is screaming about his wife.
