Needed a season 3
weed-8791114 November 2021
Left me on the edge of my seat, even with having to read the subtitles. I enjoyed every episode! Watched season 2 on Acorn- worth every penny!! The female characters were flushed out and well defined, warts and all! It was so refreshing.

Seemed like the French have an administrative section for everything!

Great acting drama

Even though I don't understand French, I was able use subtitles. I just wish I could find Series 2 to watch the rest of it!

Spoiler Alert: Babette the Bulldog is the Only One Not Getting It On
untilnow999 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This is a great series. I, too, would like to see Season 2. C'mon, Amazon Prime. Stop setting us up for the fall with all these series where you get us hooked, but then ------------------- where's the rest of the show?

In Family Business, *everyone* is beautiful-------including Babette. I think she's just about the prettiest Bulldog I've ever seen, and I've known more than a few.

Babette is also the only one not "getting any," though, if you catch my drift. Hell, even the Evil Druglord is getting off in prison-----with his gorgeous attorney, no less.

There are so many things I love about this series. I love the women, I love the studly men. I love the tight skirts and the chi-chi high heels (spoiler alert?) and the way everyone drinks and drinks and drinks. And I don't mean H20.

This is highly watchable, if a bit unbelievable at some points. (I'll let you figure those ones out for yourself.) These ladies and gents are all sartorially elegant. They're all sexy as hell and are terrifically fit, too. Even though only the guys are working out, they all look like they hit the gym like crazy. Those legs, ooh la la. (I'm not complaining: give us more of the rowing machine scenes, please.) Everyone has THE MOST gorgeous hair and skin, too.

Hmm. It's not all looks, though. The writing is great. The characters are wonderful. These people are smart. They're good at what they do. The plot lines are good. I love the way this is filmed. There's no obnoxious music or whiny singing, apart from the songs at the beginning and end of each episode, and those are all fairly okay.

If you don't mind subtitles, and maybe even get off on trying to learn a little French-----you'll probably like this. Now----------bring on Season 2, thank you very much.

... it was good.. it was fun, few in the genre as entertaining
bjarias23 July 2023
... some shows no matter how good just don't make it past first couple seasons for whatever reasons... 'On va s'aimer un peu, beaucoup' is another that should have gone to a season three and more... it was entertaining, well-written-acted-produced, and from the set up at the end of season two after sixteen episodes was looking like there was supposed to be more

... family law shows when done right are some of the best offerings onscreen today... this one was, both sides of storylines handled-scripted-acted exceptionally well... as good as 'The Split' or 'Suits' (that ran for one-hundred-thirty-four episodes)

... whateverfor ended, was a loss.

Typical French Farce
qui_j21 August 2022
This is the usual lawyer family drama, but done French style. It is replete with all the things held dear by the French, marital infidelity, everyone being someone's "Maitresse", lots of sex, smoking, and everything in life is about food and wine! There are the usual outbursts of shouting, and histrionic behavior, and everyone seems to be either in a state of being "fragile" or "en choque" after every life event! It's entertaining for what it is, a glimpse into French culture, and also useful for learning the language!

Disappointed

Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed this series although I was not happy with Audreys behavior. A spouse, 2 children and another on the way and then she has an affair. That just really turned me off. In the last episode she tells her mother I don't want to be married and have children.....
