Mildly funky at best

Warning: Spoilers
Here we have the 4.5-minute music video for Uptown Funk, a song by Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson that was released back in 2014, so it will have its 5th anniversary next year. The number is fairly catchy I can say and there are 1 or 2 moments that will stay in your ear for a little while I guess, but overall I would not call this one a must-listen and I also don't see any real reasons why you want to watch the music video instead of just listening to the record. The guys are having a great time in front of the camera, but it feels staged and never contagious unfortunately, so the joy (if there is any) stays in the music video for sure. Maybe you need to be a much bigger Bruno Mars fan in advance before listening to this one than I am, but to me this sounded generic for the most part and does no justice to the amazing funk singers from decades ago. With the danger of sounding like an old grumpy man that I certainly am not, I have to give this one a thumbs-down from the film perspective. Don't watch. Maybe listen to once.
