Amy Schumer and I are together sitting on a couch in a dimly lit bungalow at the Fairmont Hotel in Santa Monica. I've had two mimosas, because who says no when someone offers you a mimosa, and then offers you another mimosa? Amy is wearing what her publicist refers to as "comfies," which I quickly understand to mean she's decked out in a soft navy blue tracksuit. Despite her laid-back look, she still has fresh hair and makeup from all the on-camera interviews for Snatched, her new mother-daughter comedy with Goldie Hawn. You might be tempted to think Amy Schumer is tired of talking about her body, but it seems like she's only just begun to make it a greater conversation. The topic is so prevalent in her life that she brings it up in her new Netflix stand-up Amy Schumer: the Leather Special, which dropped in March: "I tweeted...

Amy Schumer is never one to hold back, so when she felt like doing a topless scene in her new comedy, Snatched, she went for it. “I’m an artist, and I was crafting that moment, and I just thought, I feel like my breast would be out, you know?” she joked on Thursday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show alongside her onscreen mom, Goldie Hawn.
As for shooting the scene, Schumer talked about what it was like on that closed set. “They were so considerate,” she said. “They get very gentle with you and as few people on set as possible. And then I was like, ‘Oh, thank you.’ And then they were like, ‘Cut,’ and I went to the bathroom and I just kept my breast out, just walked past...

2017-04-06T11:32:22-07:00Amy Schumer Doesn't Drink (Much) Any Moreclass="story-txt">
Amy Schumer is "so bored" but feels "amazing."
The 35-year-old comedian stuns in a sexy, cleavage-baring white swimsuit on the cover of InStyle's May issue, and reveals to Jessica Seinfeld, comedian Jerry Seinfeld's wife, that she's no longer a big drinker. "In the past couple years there have been times when I haven’t [drank] for months," Schumer admits before giving the pros and cons of her lifestyle change. "Life isn’t that fun. So I can feel really good for a while, but then it’s one of the things that I look forward to, so until I am told ‘You cannot do this anymore,’ I’ll probably continue to [drink].”
As for growing older in Hollywood, the Golden Globe winner says that's never been a concern of hers. “What’s good about not being...

2017-03-16T07:34:06-07:00Are Poor Amy Schumer Reviews an Alt-Right Conspiracy?
Amy Schumer: The Leather Special debuted on Netflix last week, and if you believe all the user reviews on the site, viewers hate it. The special has a suprisingly low one-star average rating from users, and the negative comments about it are scathing. But is all the hate real?
Schumer herself thinks that the bad reviews are an organized attempt by alt-right trolls, egged on by sexist Redditors, to make her look bad.
I am so proud of my special and grateful to all the people spreading love on line about it. I am the first female comic who is selling out arenas all over the world and so grateful for that. I am embarrassed for the "journalists" who report on trolls activities as if it's news. It's indicative of administration right now. Anyone who...

Amy Schumer is less upset with the trolls sabotaging her ratings and more upset with the “journalists” who write about it. Schumer, 35, recently premiered her Netflix comedy special “Amy Schumer: The Leather Special”. Several outlets reported the stand-up special was receiving low star ratings on the streaming platform, but there may be a reason for […]...

Amy Schumer’s new Netflix stand-up special is not being received well by the majority of users who left reviews on the streaming platform. The comedian’s hour-long special, titled “Amy Schumer: The Leather Special,” has received more than 900 ratings since it premiered a week ago. That’s more than double the number of reviews for Trevor Noah’s special “Afraid of the Dark,” which premiered on Feb. 21. Other recent stand-up specials, including Katherine Ryan’s “In Trouble,” Mike Birbiglia’s “Thank God for Jokes” and Cristela Alonzo’s “Lower Classy,” have received between 100 and 200 reviews.
