Great to have them back.

It comes as no surprise to me that Unforgotten has proved a big hit for ITV, and to see a fourth series is in the pipeline.

Series three begins in the usual grizzly way, a body of a young woman is found in buried under a motorway, the killer obviously sure that their victim would lay dormant. Some great and quirky characters, including an outspoken romantic, and a desperate salesman.

Quality casting, this is going to be a great series. 8/10

I'm not sure where I've been, but I am only now discovering this series. Excellent all the way around. Now I'll be anxious as I wait for Season 4 to head this way across the pond!

A New Cast of Sad People
Hitchcoc20 December 2021
The body of a young woman has been found, buried along a highway. It has been some years since she was put there, but the one piece of evidence is a plate that was put in to support a fractured wrist, while in Cypress. We have introductions to several people. One is the father of a young man who is probably trans; a salesman who can't seem to get anywhere, with a needy family; an artist who is earning a living and has fallen in love with a younger woman who has a needy child; and, of course the family of the deceased. We are already seeing the emotional makeups of these people. We are also made aware of how lonely Cassie is right now, her father seeing a woman and staying with her much of the time, and her son in the States. A very positive opening foray.

Interesting

So far this series has been interesting.. In season 1 and 2 there is no way one could have guessed "who done it". I can imagine this 3rd season will be no different. This show reminds me of a cross between Bones and Cold Case both very good shows in the US.

This programme just gets better with every episode. Virtually every scene is an acting masterclass. I can't wait for series 4!

Hey folks . it's a prequel

At the end of an excellent Season 2, one of the main characters passes away tragically. But don't worry! No, it's not a miracle rebirth, nor was the death a dream sequence (like a cheap soap opera). Season 3 switches chronologically to a PREQUEL. A fair tactic. And what a great season it is, centering around a young female body found buried under the M1.

Nicola is amazing as usual, as she was in RIVER or M-15.
