- Ash, the main character, is killed by Pokémon. It is a very sad scene but he comes back to life.
- A Pokemon freezes to death while trying to rescue a young child from a blizzard.
- A character falls into a nightmare state which invokes heavy and emotional themes and portrays intense, and possibly frightening, imagery.
- Around 48 minutes into the movie, there's a 5-6 minute scene where ash falls into a nightmare which can be quite sad and can possibly be frightening. This is then followed up by a Pokemon freezing to its death when trying to rescue a young boy.
