- Greg stirs up an old family feud when he finds money he accused Matt of stealing from him when they were younger. Also, Joan takes offense when Heather writes off her forgetfulness as "old age"; Colleen confronts a mechanic she believes is sexist; and Tim makes the kids go through an impromptu earthquake drill to see if they could figure out how to get home without money or cell service.
- Greg accidentally finds the birthday cash gift he always assumed to be stolen by Matt, who is furious when none of the kin supports his demand for full apologies for unfairly starting his since lowly reputation. Instead Greg spends it on the toy motorbike he wanted then, and when this goes missing, accuses Matt, who is shocked how little credence he gets again until the truth is know. Instead of a due ride back home, Tyler and siblings get an 'earthquake drill' dropping, phones confiscated, which Sophia enjoys suspiciously. Tired of Heather assuming 'too old' for ever more things, Joan resorts to ruthless shaming by overacting that part extremely, in public. Colleen assumes a mechanic, who can't charge her for repairing an nonexistent glitch assumed as she kept hearing a sound in her car, is a chauvinist and raises a feminist kin posse to stand her ground, only to learn about her dumb error.—KGF Vissers
