An important look at the facts on GMO crops
MEMangan18 October 2019
Most GMO-related documentaries are full of misinformation that propagates among the Whole Foods shoppers who can afford all the special labels and labor-intensive organic products. These have done a real disservice to the discourse over the years.

This look at the facts about GMO crops and their use by smallholder farmers and in countries where nutrition doesn't come from Whole Foods. It comes from locally important crops like eggplants and rice, where GMOs can be used to reduce pesticide exposure to farmers and consumers, and provide better yields and nutrition.

Constructed as a conversation among 2 friends--one with the appropriate scientific background, and one with some misinformation but an open mind--they go and look directly at places where technology can help people suffering from food insecurity and impoverished conditions. They talk to local scientists working on crops like Golden Rice. They look at the reality of feeding everyone--not just wealthy and well-fed westerners.

Very worthwhile and scientifically sound.
