I enjoyed this series. It took a few episodes before I really got into it but it ended up being worth it. Nothing complicated just decent and interesting story telling. I always enjoy the medical part of it as well. I hope the other seasons are as enjoyable.

Most powerfully moving episode so far

Good Karma Hospital is easily one of the most uplifting, intriguing, thought-provoking yet fun series, a treasure in the sea of material on streamers. This episode takes things to a deep and wonderful level of joy, reflection, love and loss. Superb!
Rain is the underlying metaphor in this episode, for its delight and often its unexpectedness. A crisis reveals much about the work of the hospital. In the process, we learn more about Ruby and her personal history and her career, about Fonseca and Greg, about Dr. Varma, the relationship of Dr. Nair and his son, and the deep love of Paul and Maggie. Must must see!

A moving season finale

Warning: Spoilers
This is the season one finale, and became a big fan of Good Karma Hospital when it debuted in 2017. In some ways, when I saw Good Karma Hospital, it reminded me of the work of the American Dr Ida Scudder, a Christian doctor from America who set up the Vellore Christian Medical Centre in India, and which continues to this day really to much acclaim.
It's a shame that each season only had six episodes. It deserved more (for example, Death in Paradise has eight episodes per season). This episode is very sad, as we see the passing of Maggie Smart (played by Phyllis Logan). Thankfully her character returned in the season two finale.
