Every Example of Bad Film-making is in this movie. Give it a miss
future_release9 December 2019
If this was a comedy showing every aspect of bad movie making then this would be great. Unfortunately it isn't and it's a terrible movie.

The acting is terrible, the sound is up and down. You could drive a bus between the pauses in the actors lines.

The VFX are atrocious.

I had fun watching the shots where the actors are looking in completely the wrong direction when the camera angle changes within the same scene. It's hard to explain but you'll see what I mean if you'd like to waste an hour.

Great Period Movie
tgraham-1097115 January 2020
The story is interesting with many plots turns and twists. Particularly well done is the filming and editing; it truly makes you are in Cleveland in the 1960's. For a independent film it has the feel of a Hollywood production. It is clear to see the amount of work that went into the production of this film. Excellent also is the sound track with the final song very haunting. I was lucky enough to see this movie on the big screen at the premiere. Movie keeps you engaged!

Micro-budget Indie Period Piece
Prof_Tatalovic10 September 2018
Cleveland, 1961: Nazi criminals, mob, detectives, shady characters... And a lot more in this micro-budget independent film from Ohio. It's rare that someone attempts to produce a period piece on minimal indie budgets, but these guys did. And it's good! An engaging story featuring several funky-crazy-strange characters - in pursuit of "stolen paintings worth millions of dollars"... The film has good cinematography (incorporating some archive footage in a very clever way), superb visual effects, an original music track, and solid performance by its key players on the screen. Very good production (set) design, using old props, historical vehicles, and little elements that are not-so-easy to find on this budget. Overall, it's a pleasant indie surprise from Cleveland's underground film scene.

Most Refreshing Indie Film in Years
marcenrjr25 February 2020
A pleasant surprise in the film-noir genre of independent cinema. The "one" bad review of this film is obviously from a sad individual who has a grudge against a person (or persons) involved in the production. Truly, it's impossible to watch this movie and not enjoy it. The quality cinematography, sound, editing, special effects and music score is "spot on". With over thirty actors in this recreation of another era, most of them do a fine job and are quite convincing (especially the Nazi war criminals). Viewing this little indie wonder, you feel transported back in time to 1961. Although I'm not one to leave reviews, I feel compelled to recommend this film. The write up in The Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper attracted me to the theatrical premiere and the audience of over 300 people in the main auditorium hailed this movie with endless applause. It begins a little slow but the last 40 minutes will have you on the edge of your seat. While it may not be Oscar material, it "is" a must see.

Amazing film a must see !! The way a film should be entertaining !!
richphillis719 December 2019
This film was amazing from the start to the finish . The characters were tremendous . The acting ,directing ,writing and the special effects second to none . The story which was based on facts most people were not aware of . Even though being raised in the Cleveland area I and many were not aware of this part of our history . It was a period piece which is a challenge to make . The producer and director were able to take the viewer back in time and were very detailed in making sure that props and scenes were consistent with that time . Very entertaining film and a must see . Very few films will I ever watch more than once but I saw this film twice and I would watch it again .

Noir Satire
KenM-A18 January 2020
This is a well-produced, accurate period piece based in Cleveland. It is a darkly satiric foray into the Noire genre, with a main character who is the quintessential anti-antihero, a plot that keeps you guessing, and some humorous moments. Well worth your time.

Sleek - Smooth - Sardonic Thriller. Good Low Budget Flick.
rmarcentile12 February 2021
With the pandemic upon us, I ran out of A-List movies to watch, so I'm getting into the cheapies. Was surprised how the filmmakers turned out this nostalgic gem of a detective thriller for mere pocket change. Put on a fedora, pour some bourbon and treat yourself to THE FINAL GOODBYE.

Indie Film That Aptly Recreates Days Long Past
josephz_200028 January 2021
BIG fan of the film-noir genre and always searching for offbeat thrillers. Came across this movie by chance, and after reading the mixed reviews (half good, half bad) it just screamed out for me to watch it, and I'm glad I did. COOL movie set in 1961 with hot babes, mouthy mobsters, nasty Nazis, even a sleazy private eye. The plot is quite clever with lots of twists & turns including a "double" surprise ending. Loved the snazzy cars, sets, costumes and special effects. There are no big name stars in this gritty crime drama but I was pleased with all the crazy characters (too many to mention). Another thing that amazed me about this low-budget offering was the music score, Yes, it actually features SOUNDTRACK MUSIC and not "generic noise" like 99% of films made today. Each piece of music is truly "listenable" and used beautifully throughout the film. I'm still humming the ending theme song. In a nutshell, don't listen to "wannabe film critics" like myself or the others who have posted here.....be original and simply watch it for yourself.
