Episode 13 and the producers thought the show would get a mid season cancellation as out of nowhere they start to wrap up the various plot lines.

Henry Czerny turns up as Keyes. Remember him? He recruited Alex at the conclusion of the finale in season 1. He was the CIA head who was after Tom Cruise in the first Mission Impossible film you know.

Keyes makes another sporadic appearance and turns up at the Farm to lecture the recruits on the worse possible situation you can find yourself in. You get caught on your mission and you need to have an emergency escape plan.

Good reason he is doing the lecture, the FBI are after Owen. That person who was killed in that explosion in the chamber that Owen and Alex had visited was a former recruit, Jeremy Miller. The person Alex thought she had seen in episode 1 of the new series. Owen is taken into custody and for Lydia this is as an opportunity to fire Alex from the Farm.

Harry also leaves the Farm, he wanted to get the dirt on his former boyfriend's hideous father. While drunk he gives his role away as a MI5 agent on an exchange program.

In the present the story goes at breakneck speed. Handily Miranda sums it up for everybody at the end. It seems the First Lady was involved with the Citizen's Liberation Front before there was a change of plan and she was killed. The Islamic Front takes credit for the terrorist event but it was the AIC subgroup with Lydia uploading the hard drives.

Claire Haas shows up and gives Alex, Ryan, Shelby, Dayana and Nimah a new task to go in covert and go after the AIC. They will report to her son Clay, brother of Caleb.

The show is moving to a new direction but I guess it is not going to get any less complicated.
