Fascinatingly Horrible

I can't tell if this is a for real attempt at a movie or if it is a spoof. Acting is hilariously horrid. One thing about it though, I couldn't stop watching.

A very slow train, full of dumpsters afire, crashing.......

Subpar in every respect

I viewed this on Amazon which, for reasons I don't pretend to understand, was rated favorably.

Honestly the storyline wasn't intelligible. The acting was at best performed poorly, and I think I'm being generous. The filming and editing, not good at all.

My guess is that this film was more of a family project than a commercial work given the number of family members involved.

As a family project it's a decent piece of work. As a commercial film my nephews high school drama class has created films that are better.

Poor script and story with woeful acting. Terrible direction, special effects (not so special!) and shockingly poor cinematography. The sound is also inferior (some scenes the audio is really low, impacted by the wind or you can hear the mic knocking on something). The editing is a joke.

Seems like a total indulgence from Joe Ciminera (writer, director and lead role!).

Tiffany Browne-Tavarez is a diabolical actress (well in this production at least).

This movie will result in 2 hours of your life wasted and that you'll never get back.

My advice, spend some quality time with your family rather than with Me Familia!

Confusing

The movie jumps all over the place. The actors are not believable and the storyline makes no sense. I was being generous giving a rating of 2. Don't waist your time.

Recently I've been addicted to cheap low budget mob movies for some reason. This one was the cheapest of all. Poor acting , sound , editing , you name it. It must have taken about $150 to make this junk. It's funny and bad at the same time

This movie is a prime example of whats wrong with movies today ! Way too many of these independent films being made that are just garbage like Me Familia . This is just full of cliches and bad acting , bad editing and poor poor production values ! Like a bunch of friends got together and used a camcorder to screw around one weekend and make a film for the hell of it . It might be entertaining if you are friends and in it with them , but for the rest of us its like watching someones home movies , boring slow and meaningless .

Amateurish but good for a film class

This was a good idea for a movie... stress the interactions between the high level mafiosos rather than the violence. But the script or editing is disjointed. The audio is atrocious. It sounds like it was done on my 1995 JVC camcorder and filtered through a can. Most of the actors can't act! And the scenes are shot like skits. It is a great movie to watch in a film school class because it could have worked with a bit more effort.

Wicked B grade movie!

Don't understand why some many people hating on this instant cult classic. It's for sure not a Hollywood movie, but it is a A grade B movie for sure. The actors in this film were classic, the cop around 1hour 11min in was the best comedy I have seen in a while. People just need to relax and enjoy this movie don't take it so seriously and u actually might get some laughs. N. Styles.

It is really good to know that there are people making real authentic crap such as this film. Totally entertaining for my Familia and friends. We watch it how not to make a movie. A total insult to the Italians and even the real mobsters.

ME FAMILIA took me right back to all the mob films from the seventies that I know and love!

ME FAMILIA took me right back to all the mob films from the seventies that I know and love, not to mention, a certain cable series that shall not be named(damn that ending!) Sure there are no name actors or recognizable faces here, but these actors are really good, holding the tension high and even delivering some humor with some very witty banter. It made it feel much more authentic for me, literally absorbing me into the world like that other cable show set in Baltimore that did that so effectively. Also, the HIT SEQUENCES were really well done and a lot of fun. If you're into mob films with good dense stories, well-portrayed characters and lots of indie-heart, ME FAMILIA is the film for you. Great Find!

Nice job with the second me familia the storyline kept me interested all the way through. Obviously not a big budget film but with some creativity and good storyline it's a winner! Congratulations enjoyed it.

'Get me William Shakespeare on the phone'

Me Familia is supposed to be modern, updated version of Shakespeare's The Twelfth Night. I enjoyed the film from start to finish, and I have seen enough indie films to expect certain traits (undependable camera work, strange editing, maybe some sound or camera problems, weak writing and poor casting, a drunk best boy, a missing grip, perhaps even the production's caterer wasn't up to the job) but I cannot see how this story is supposed to be an updated version of any of Shakespeare's stories. The Twelfth Night is supposed to be one of Shakespeare's greatest comedies! Huh!!?? But that being said, I enjoyed the film and tomorrow I will watch Me Familiar 2! Long live Will Shakespeare!
