In the second half of its third series 'Still Open All Hours' seems to have turned a bit of a corner.
Yes, it still devotes a bit too much time to Granville ripping off the foolish male customers, but its actually nice to see scenes set in Mrs Featherstone's house, and to see the women gossiping about their men. It broadens the focus of the show, and gives the very talented supporting cast that have been assembled something to do.
A drunk Stephanie Cole as Mrs Featherstone is certainly a highlight.
