Another brilliant episode of call the midwife, loved the parallels of motherhood as shown by the wildly differing positions of the two main side stories.

S9 has gotten off to a fab start, and this episode manages to be both warm and heart-breaking (especially the subplot involving the sergeant) all in one go.

Well done, this was great.
