As Paige becomes even more enmeshed in her parents' world, tensions with Matthew Beeman come to a head, Philip and Elizabeth's honeytraps take surprising turns, and Stan faces the consequences of overplaying his hand at the FBI.
Paige takes that difficult step and decides to tell her boyfriend Matthew that she wants to break up without giving him a good reason for the breakup. Gabriel advises Phil and Elizabeth that his time in the U.S. is over and he will be heading home within 24 hours. Before Gabriel leaves though Phil and Elizabeth send him off with a potted plant of the experimental wheat from scientist Benjamin Stobert's farm, after digging it up themselves. Meanwhile Stan gets told by his boss Agent Wolfe that their boss wants him out of counter intelligence after Stan tried to blackmail him by threatening to go public about his role as an FBI agent killing a Russian KGB agent unless they ceased trying to turn Oleg who is now in Russia into one of their confidential informants. Stan and Agent Aderholt are making progress with convincing a Russian mother into assisting them periodically with tidbits of information about her and her husbands workplace.—Ed Shullivan
