Warning: Spoilers
I was enjoying this show, but this finale was all over the place. They treated the primary school teacher like garbage, they had a ridiculous premise with police thinking a briefcase of cash might be a bomb, and the foreshadowing for Season 2 made me think they are not learning from their mistakes that Ronnie is not a strong character.

Just a big letdown from the show that began with promise.

In the previous episode Vincent's life was falling apart. Now he has a plan to get it back together and get enough cash together to pay off his £50k tax bill.

However this involves getting Ronnie the loan shark involved. He gives Vincent the cash to become a partner with Walsh at the double glazing firm. Vincent and Ronnie siphon the cash from the business, load it with debt without Walsh knowing and eventually he has to sell up for a pound. Leaving Vincent and Ronnie partners in the business but can Ronnie be trusted?

Over the course of this episode amoral Vincent puts Walsh out of his livelihood and out from his house, discards the primary school teacher like a dirty rag. Despite the comedy this is not a person you want to root for.

The first series of White Gold was a strong but uneven comedy, the problem is as Ed Westwick is unlikely to return for the second series, this means his character may have nowhere to go.

Vincent gave his little boy the flick to walk home alone so he could shag his teacher. Then i was done with Vincent, he just became a total scumbag from that moment for me. And if you re done with Vincent you re done with White Gold. Writing a character is tricky hey. Bye bye boyses.
