Routine entry for the nice people on the Satellite Of Love.

The Beast of Hollow Mountain is the fifth episode of the MST3K reboot and, of course, the chosen movie is a stinker. A gringo south of the border discovers his cattle are being eaten by a dinosaur. And what with the quicksands and ponytails, nobody in Mexico is safe!

A routine entry for the nice people piloting the Satellite Of Love. It's not great... but it is good! Anyone else out there thinks that this was a bit of a surprising choice to riff on? There didn't seem to be a lot of material here - at least not in the first half.

I'm totally on board with Jonah and the bots. For me, it's like the bots never left and I like Jonah. I'm starting to think that they should dump the 'invention exchange', though. The ideas seem pretty weak and don't really do much apart from delay the start of the movie. I get it that we need to see a reason why the crew of the SofL is watching these terrible movies. Evil overlords are a great device that reminds us about Jonah's predicament.

Once again, we see the good natured fingerprints of Joel Hodgson everywhere which makes this remarkably comfortable viewing. Nice suit, Joel!

Best gag: "There goes a brave, stupid, probably drunk man!"

Of the five new episodes I have seen so far (I'm watching the new series in sequence) this is the third best after Cry Wilderness and Avalanche. (Opinions subject to change!)
