The comedy segment is real ads for items on sale for Mother's Day that are not really in the spirit of the holiday, such as a smoke detector and a chain link fence. Zippy the Chimp and his handler Jack Rinsky are the first guests. Johnny chats with Jack about how strong the animal is. Then Zippy demonstrates tying and untying his shoelaces and lighting a cigarette. To show how he eats with utensils, he is served his favorite food, spaghetti and meatballs, but refuses to eat it. Bob Uecker talks humorously about his career, and then the success of the Cleveland Indians in the current season. He also demonstrates the acting skills he is developing for his comedy series. Kathleen Wilhoite first talks about having eyes of different colors. She calls her romantic situation "sticky", since the man she is seeing has another girlfriend also. She talks a bit about Charles Bronson, and a clip from "Murphy's Law" is shown.
