- The Light of Hope is a TV movie depicting some historical events dealing with Elizabeth Eidenbetz : Noemie Schmidt , the real life Swiss teacher and nurse who founded and ran the Elan Maternity from 1939 to 1944 during the Nazi invasion over France. She delivers a heroic work by hiding Jews and other people pursued by Nazis .this maternity center was established by the real life Eidenbenz , repurposing an old French villa in Elna , a town near the French Spanish border, as a haver og for desplaced women, single females , escaped people , and victims of Spanish Civil War who would otherwise face terrible conditions in Vichy controlled refugee camps. Due to a traitor the Vichy officials to be aware of the hidden activities at the Maternity and they carry out a violent control and watching subsequently ordering to close its doors . But Elizabeth and her collaborators will attempt to prevent it This is a passable television with passable acting, limited budget and adequate production design. The movie is structured episodically with several subplots , though most of them starred by Noemie Schmidt as Elizabeth Eidenbenz who gives a sensitive performance . And in fact the flick is dedicated to Elizabeth Eidenbenz . The subplots are sufficiently interlaced into the main story to add to its narrative , contributing to its resonance and complete the film texture .There are some known faces in the film such as Natalia de Molina, Blanca Romero , Pere Ponce , Nora Navas , Irak Ferriz . The picture was regular but professionally directed by Silvia Quer . This is a craftsman who has directed various episodes of notorious TV series such as Élite, Bajo sospechaVelvet, 23 F , Gavilanes, Gran Hotel, Gran Reserva , among others .—ma-cortes
