This Scottish docuseries takes the form of a sort of portrait or showcase of five distinct Scottish cameramen who filmed beautiful nature documentary footage for the beeb over the course of nineties and noughties. We get a slither of background, some fond reminisces and some fine footage. Each is the sort of humble dependable yet insular sort of chap that you could imagine doing this kind of work and Attenborough narrates with warmth and admiration. It's all extremely pleasant and was broadcast nearly a decade ago in what feels like a period of extreme calm. It's just genuinely lovely to hear some of the tales and see some of the workers who are so instrumental to those brilliant nature documentaries.
