Early in the autopsy scene, Julian comments that "the decay continues after the tissue's dead - this is not a bacteria." Bacterial activity after tissue death is the cause of almost *all* post-mortem decomposition. Julian would absolutely know this. Furthermore, grammatically should be just "bacteria" (without the article "a).
