- When a bomb explodes outside the hospital, TC, Topher and Drew are forced to make the tough decision to stay and treat the injured or evacuate and begin transfers to nearby hospitals. Everything changes when TC suddenly realizes he may know the person responsible for the explosion. While the team works feverishly to tend to the wounded, the nurses go on strike just when the hospital needs them the most. Meanwhile, throughout the intense night shift, Shannon and Paul attempt to confront each other about something personal.—NBC
- The ER is short staffed because the nurses are on strike. Kenny crosses the picket line to see a girl whom he's been egging to come to the hospital to be treated. Drew is trying to help a girl with a lung problem who's awaiting for a transplant. Paul and Shannon after hooking up are avoiding each other. Suddenly there's an explosion, and Topher wants them to remain where they are till they situation is assessed. But there are a lot of wounded so they have to treat them right there. TC thinks he knows who brought the bomb in and SWAT calls saying they cornered the bomber. TC goes to help and the bomber is shot and says that they deserve this. The police have already cleared the area so Topher was about to let them go when Scott and Shannon say that there may have been more in the bomb than just explosive, so Topher keeps everyone there.—rcs0411@yahoo.com
- Topher can't talk the nurses out of striking against staff cuts, except involuntarily elected union rep Kenny who couldn't resist sneaking in for a foxy soccer patient, but everyone returns after a bomb exploding outside the hospital causes a flood of patients, including the culprit. TC helps the police deal with the danger. Drew is inspired by Topher testifying how parenthood enriches all life to devote beyond medical care to a transplant patient who lost her only caregiver. Realizing the bomb may have spread contagion, Topher has the police close off the hospital. Scott helps Shannon abiding by a timid patient's option for non-invasive kidney stone treatment to avoid surgery. Paul and Shannon bond further over a senior patient and realize their crush is mutual.—KGF Vissers
