Loved the first season but this first episode of season 2 is just not doing it for me! I hope it improves. Part of the problem is Joe's voice. It's like nails on a chalkboard. Obviously he cant help how he sounds when he talks but it affects my ability to enjoy. His behaviour was also a little too over the top!!!

The second series of Ordinary Lies brings a whole new cast and city as it is based in Cardiff within a sports goods company.

Head of Sales Joe Brierley (Con O'Neill) is normally perky and happy go lucky always with a joke to motivate his team but underlying issues are forced out in the open.

When he is sent home after a workplace accident, he finds his wife, Belinda (Jill Halfpenny) at home behaving suspiciously. Fearing the worst he hooks up the house with hidden CCTV cameras and becomes obsessed with observing what is going on in the house in his laptop. Other workers might suspect he is watching porn and pretty soon he starts to fly off the handle at work and becomes paranoid.

Joe follows Belinda and discovers that she has been exposing online child predators bringing up his failings that he could not prevent harm coming to their daughter.

What should had been an interesting opening episode gets lost with some sloppy writing. We actually knew little about the main characters so it all the hidden secrets came out of the blue.
