The house started falling apart
The last day of shooting in the lead characters house, it started falling apart.
We shot for about two weeks in Thomas' house. It was an old house we had borrowed from some one who's parents had deceased, so the house was empty. After we were done with it, it was to be soled.
There wasn't any problems with the house at all, but when we shot the last scene in the house, where Thomas is doing sit-ups in his room, someone suddenly started screaming; "There is water coming down from the sealing!". Mads Erichsen ran up stairs and discovered, that a water tube had exploded, and the entire first floor was being flooded. The production designer had some experience in blooming, and tried to stop the flood. Mads when down stairs and finished the scene, while the first floor was being flooded.

The lead actor went to casting by chance
The Lead actor Nikolaj Petersen (Thomas) has never acted before, and used most of his time playing computer with his friends, before he acted in "Where The Windmills Are".
He never intended on becoming an actor and only went to the casting, to support his best friend. There was about 300 others at the casting, so there was a lot of waiting. The hours passed and Nikolaj decided, since his was there and already had help his friend with the dialog, to give it a shoot him self.
In some shoots you can see the two friends together in the movie. They are still best friends.
