Still another terrific episode in this terrific television show. Why do the Emmy's and Golden Globe Awards continue to ignore this show? Donnie Wahlberg definitely deserves a best supporting actor nomination along with Bridget Moynihan for supporting actress. What do these awards think? It's mind boggling.
The episode dealt with Jaime trying to act as a social worker to a troubled teen who confronts him during his visit to her school. She has never gotten over the fact that her father, a drug dealer, was killed in a shoot out with police. A poignant scene was where Danny was able to arrange a meeting with her and the officer who shot her father. The officer, still traumatized, worked now with troubled youth.
Danny's former partner, tampered with evidence years back, and with no witnesses, a killer would be able to walk free. Just when you thought the problem was solved, there is a surprising admission from the cop who did this and his threat to the witness who saw what happened. This part of the story did not end in the way we would want it to end, but it just shows the satisfying as opposed to realistic outcomes in criminal justice.
