Warning: Spoilers
"Yoyotoki: Happy Ears" is a 12-minute short cartoon from early November this year and it's another of these Amazon pilot episodes that may or may not get picked up for an entire season if enough people like them. I myself am still a bit undecided as you can also see from the title of my review. It was all very solid, but nothing really stood out. What I probably still liked the most was that they really focused on 3 characters here and they were all pretty absurd and memorable in a positive way. The title character is a female fox girl that looks a bit like a rabbit and is sad she has no superpowers. Her two friends are a pig with a horse-like Mohawk mane made of fire and a small green gummy bear. This little movie needed a bit to get me interested, but certainly improved while running. All in all, I recommend the watch. Let's see if this gets picked up. In my opinion, it's neither among the best nor among the worst Amazon has to offer in potential new shows this year. Oh yeah, final note: the crew behind this, including the writer and the director have a bit of an Asian background, so no surprise about the title character's name and about how this looks in terms of the animation style.
