Following another disaster at his restaurant Bert takes drastic action and disappears, leading Al to contact P.C. Penhale, though he is more interested in courting Louisa's baby-sitter Janice. Martin turns down a request by local radio presenter Melanie to do an interview on healthy eating whilst Louisa is less than impressed by Rachel Timoney's suggestion of a couples interview. However after hearing Martin inadvertently save a life on live radio she could change her mind.—don @ minifie-1
Martin decides to move out of the Surgery to give Louisa space, leaving Mrs Tishell concerned he will not be able to look after himself on his own. Elsewhere, PC Penhale helps Janice babysit, and Al is very concerned when he finds out about Bert's behaviour and hears there are bailiffs at the restaurant.
