Yay Ralphy boy

Warning: Spoilers
Ralph is great, robotics sounds fun, although his timing sucks. Walter and Paige were having a very interesting conversation that looked like it might go somewhere, then Ralph ruins the moment. Kids!

Submariners stay away

Warning: Spoilers
I know that there is the whole "suspension of disbelief" idea that must be used with movies and TV shows. However, this one went way to far and anyone who knows anything about submarines, or basic physics, will end up totally hating this episode.

I don't want to give away anything that could be called a spoiler but there obviously was zero input from the Navy or the Submarine Service, in particular, when this episode was made.

I don't think I'm giving spoilers but I checked the box just to make sure since I have to put more lines in the review.

Let's start with this is supposed to be a nuclear powered vessel. Officers usually report to a nuclear powered vessel at about 16-17 months of service. They get promoted to LT(jg) at 24 months of service. That means about 7-8 months of service aboard the vessel before promotion. Therefore, there is no way an Ensign would be qualified in submarines. In addition, regardless of what is happening, unless all other officers have died (which would not have occurred at that point in the show), no Ensign would declare himself to be the commanding officer just because the CO was not in the compartment. And those are just the minor points. There are so many things wrong with this episode that it is impossible to suspend disbelief for long enough to get through the show.
