It will come back to you
nogodnomasters15 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This is about creating cybersleep for long distance space travel. They manipulate time while in sleep. They also talk about using it for the prison system. You live in a computer generated reality of your own making, similar to the Matrix but not a fraction of entertaing. The characters were not great and you never knew what was real and what wasn't which makes for a nice twist. Not for casual science fiction fans.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

Warning: Spoilers
In order to keep space travelers safe and sane on long trips across the stars, a cutting-edge computer-brain interface must be created. Mike, the programmer, and Eric, a neurochemist, begin to work on the most sophisticated virtual reality system ever conceived.

However, they begin to argue about how to create that program and Mike's muse gets trapped inside the program. Now, he must go through multiple infinite worlds to find her, places where reality does not always work. Can he bring reality back and save his world?

Made in Windsor, Ontario by Michael Stasko and Eric Schiller, who wrote, directed, produced and starred in this film, this is a meditation on the effects of manipulating reality. It's definitely not a movie you can watch as background noise and must be paid attention to.

The budget is low while the concept is high. While it has a slow start, once those big ideas kick in, you'll forgive its inexpensive origins and savor the big thinking. Or you'll think it's completely ridiculous claptrap. I belong to the former camp, but as I've known of films, your mileage may vary.

Makes Primer look like it makes perfect sense.

This I would imagine is a low budget film, although the tech looked good enough. The plot/story/timeline kind of disappeared up it's own backside. Shame really, as someone obviously tried to do something!

It's like Jacobs Ladder, without the ladder.... or Jacob.

Seriously bad and not worth the time to waste. Even the audio is seriously bad. Anything that would contribute to the illusion of a film experience is flawed.

Glad I went on a hunch and bought instead of rent, cause I need to rewatch this soon. I think I missed some stuff early on, cause there are layers to this dish player.

Good story
sosomo-so3 October 2020
Had this obscure film recommended to me online. Seemed very low budget for sure. But the story is pretty crazy, never seen so many directions. Was entertaining just to try to follow along.

Gets better

Was kinda hard to watch for first 20 minutes or so, then it had a lot of turns and twists and ended up being really good by the end.

Low budget Inception
yipohi-4646918 November 2021
This was clearly made with a super low budget, (I think it says 90,000$. But the story was pretty similar in that you had to think a lot, and I'm going to have to watch it again to see how much of I got it. Don't want to spoil too much, but instead of layers of dreams, its layers of virtual reality, and the time lines are edited so you jump around between them a lot. But honestly, I think I ended up getting most of it by the end. But like I said it think there is probably a lot more going on for when I watch in another time. I would recommend this if your into thinking sci-fi films.

Pure Scifi geek stuff

This film is all about the concepts. Very easy to get lost in it, as I did many times. But some of the concepts in this film eventually come to the surface and would make for a great book.
