Low budget and it shows..

A 6 year old movie with only 2 reviews.. One honest and one odviously a crew or family member.. The bogus 10 rating praising Lamb for knowing what a movie should be.. Lamb was only an executive producer, his only responsibility being to secure, or provide financing for the film.. The acting for the most part was amateurish.. The story was interesting enough and in the right hands would have made a great movie.. As it is, it is barely watchable..

leads are astoundingly talentless

Of course we should all cut some slack for low budget films. Sure there will be production compromises, plot holes for which there maybe no money to re-shoot. That is understandable.

But given the number of good to moderate talent actors out there: having astoundingly bad acting in the leads, to the point where the viewer is cringing or laughing at how bad it is, is not acceptable. The unbelievably bad acting makes this film utterly unwatchable. The lead "actress" is makes you want to leave the room when she is on-screen and the lead male is almost as bad.

An amazing love story

Today there are so few movies that tell their viewers a meaningful story.

Phil Lamb stepped outside of the box when he wrote and produced Torment a love story. Brilliantly casted, incredible dialogue, suspense - they don't make movies like this anymore.

Thank you Phil Lamb, for reminding us what a movie is supposed to look like.
