Warning: Spoilers
"Anything can happen in a housing project," says a character during this movie, and so it seems to be the case in this absurd, light-weight, sort of black comedy. It's about seniors, life before and after death, bored housing-block residents inventing rumors and then striving mightily to make them a reality (bringing in the local police to investigate the nonsense), and (yup!) space aliens. A highly repetitious mixture of attempted amusement that grows stale super fast. What might have maybe worked as, say, a 15-20 minute short film, self destructs when stretched to over 90 minutes. Although the moon is not made of cheese, the spaceship and other "special effects" in this film are most definitely full of it. Viewed at Japan Society (NY) Flash Forward Film Event.
