Not Cooper's best but not his worst either!

Warning: Spoilers
This show is possibly the least well remembered of Tommy Cooper's work, despite being very popular at the time, possibly due to a lot of it being wiped from the archives, thankfully what still survives of it was released on DVD in 2019 by Network Distributing ( which I was deeply saddened to hear has recently gone into liquidation ).

Running for three series between 1966-1969, 'Life With Cooper' originally was broadcast by ABC Television before it relocated to Thames Television and like his later shows such as 'It's Tommy Cooper' and 'Cooper's Half Hour' was a mixture of magical acts and sketches. Truth to tell, the sketches were not particularly great, being overlong with very little pay off. The magical acts were the best part of the show. Tommy's trademark corny jokes were here too, such as when he pulled out a giant tin opener from inside his jacket and told the audience: ''Well, the producer told me he wanted a big opener in tonight's show!''. Not Cooper at his finest I have to say but in fairness it didn't harm his career either.
