American Bigfoot. A 9ft Bigfoot goes on a killing spree in rural Ohio when it's offspring gets shot and killed. Well, actually it's a man in a suit pretending to be a Bigfoot but doing a very poor job of it as his mannerisms are very much human & he's a bad actor like most of the cast here. The suit itself is frankly rubbish too, as is most of the acting & also at times the sound quality. It's a horror film which attempts to inject humour into it, but it fails miserably. There are only two human deaths in the first hour so when the group of teenage campers (hence the original title Kampout) appear for the final 30 minutes I had hoped that the film would redeem itself. Sadly it didn't. Probably the only notable thing here is a brief appearance by Clint Howard, who starred in 80's shocker Evilspeak.
I paid £5 for this crap in a chain music/film shop. A couple of days later I saw it in a supermarket for £3. Felt somewhat gutted that I have wasted money on this junk. If you want to watch a horror movie about a Bigfoot then watch Night of the Demon instead.

Another day, another dreadful Bigfoot movie; this one's an indie that was apparently shot in the space of a week, so if you're looking for quality then you're not going to find it here. It's an example of all talk and very little action, with a handful of police procedural elements and a whole lot of hanging around. Familiar actors like Zach Galligan and Clint Howard show up for embarrassed cameos, and the whole thing is generally tired and insipid.

This film is beyond bad.
The acting is appalling; to give an idea it is far worse than you would find in an Asylum film. A prime example is the distraught mother whose son was taken; you will die laughing at her hysterics. Having said that the two clowns trying to take video footage are like Bobo; so there is some accuracy right there.
I am an hour into the film and so far two pretty pathetic deaths have occurred, the characters are mind-numbingly boring and even the arrival of several hot girls cannot enliven it. A runner is now fleeing from the bigfoot in the weirdest way imaginable as he high steps along a path! This film is bizarre! Thank God I only paid £3 for it from ASDA.
So do not waste your time on this; you will regret it. I am only surprised the makers did not call it Canadian Bigfoot to shift the blame onto their cousins.

Look, I understand that sometimes there isn't a budget. I don't know who made this bigfoot costume but they should have just went to Halloween express and been done with it. I guarantee that if the elusive plot, the terrible acting, or the garbage camera work doesn't make you laugh, the bigfoot will. What's vest (as in worst) is that they don't even try to hide the terrible bigfoot costume. It gets lots of screen time. Good job, guys. I'll remember this one for a while. 3 stars for the laughs.

I've commented on a few Bigfoot movies now, and I usually can appreciate low budget movies, especially about Bigfoot. This is the first Bigfoot movie so far that I actually had to ask, why in the hell did they waste time making this? A complete waste of time. I mean the Bigfoot costumes are just embarrassing. That blonde woman whose son got kidnapped while taking out the trash was ridiculous. Do cops in small rural towns just wear the badges clipped to their breast pocket like that? I usually like Clint Howard in movies but I just feel bad for him. I stopped after the 2 idiots got him on camera. That's enough for me. I just can't take the costumes anymore.

This is an outstanding movie. The acting is superb, especially the little girl and the hillbillies. The Bigfoot costumes are so real they'll give you nightmares. It's like they hired & trained real bigfoots. Great action sequences and a fantastic music score. Definitely oscar material.

The movie's story and characters weren't actually set up bad, but bad acting likely from friends, family, or locals hurt it. Horrible bigfoot costume, but they commit to it and that made it ok for me.

This is the perfect bad movie thats will make you laugh all the time
Everything about this movie is bad: the acting is awful, the script does not exist, the photo is dull and the music is misplaced
The movies also doesnt make sense: the plot isn´t coherrent. It seems that some scenes are coming in the wrong order, and some scenes that would explain things are missing.
The monster is supersilly. It's extremly obvious a man in a mask. The budget must have been superlow when thats the best they could come up with
Overall this movie is awful, but its so bad its good.

A few small parts of this hot mess had glimmers of potential. Most "Bigfoot" genre movies are a solid "F". I give this a "D". It could've been a halfway decent flick w/little more effort than it took to make it awful.
Why is that so difficult?

Just don't. I had a small issue finding info on this movie because it was labeled American Bigfoot on Tubi Tv. Started watching as I searched for more info. Still not sure if it was Kampout first or American Bigfoot. Whatever the case is, it was renamed. Only reason would be copyright issue or poor ratings on one of the titles. Just don't. It's terrible all around.

What a waste of a movie. Absolutely horrible. Who directed this, a 3 year old? I tried to make it through the movie, I really did but couldn't. It made no sense. It was like watching Aunt Mabels home videos about the scotch tape store she owned. Don't bother with this or Buckdog

Someone needs to go to jail behind this garbage. Piss poor dialog and acting throughout the whole movie. My toddler son can make a better movie and act better than these felons. Anyone give this crap more than 2 stars is on drugs.

It's much better than the reviews. The Ohio grass is supposed to look different than other Bigfoot types. It was well acted and quite enjoyable. I really don't get the bad reviews. I've seen much worse Bigfoot movies. It's not Big Legand, but still good. The makeup is much better than stated. Some of the story is taken from real reports of Bigfoot sightings. I don't want to give out spoilers so I will give points on why it deserves a 6 and not a 2. The movie is cohesive and flows well. The acting is mostly good. It's has suspense and good build up. The makeup is good for what the Grassman should look like.
