At Artforum, J. Hoberman names his top 10 films of 2015, topped by The Assassin:
At once old-school and free-form, classic and avant-garde, the great Taiwanese filmmaker’s first venture into wuxia is the only movie I saw this year that, as soon as it ended, I wanted to see again.
Watch a half-hour interview with Denis Villeneuve on Sicario:

Aussie newcomer Jesse Leaman recently wrapped production on an existential post-apocalyptic short film starring Guy Pearce called Lorne. The slow burn first trailer for the film that ends in a bang showcases a great deal of confidence and I can't wait to see the whole short at some point.

Lorne, a wasteland traveler dealing with the oppressing boundaries of isolation, is confronted by a mysterious stranger, who helps him realize his existential fears.
More as it comes, folks!
Recommended Release: The Rover
