Originally intended as a short film, the film was adapted into feature length when the writer decided that a short wouldn't give enough time to do the global crisis of the film's concept justice.
The bartender James, played by Mike Austin was originally in the script as a female barmaid called Mary.
The chase sequences where Cecil played is pursued by large groups of women were mostly shot during the production of other films. David Pustansky, who plays Cecil was working on the short film 'The Brooding' and the feature 'Aylesbury Dead' and requested that cast members of those films would chase him to help build a sense that there were many more people involved in the chase sequences.
Julie Graham appears in the film as three separate characters. In addition to her main role as Miss White, she also plays a woman who enjoys watching on as Cecil gets dumped by Betsy in the pub, and then plays the hooded woman who chases Cecil throughout the town.
There is an outtake on the film's blooper reel where Cecil refers to Agent Meadows as Tammy. Both David Pustansky who plays Cecil and Fleur Nicholas who plays Agent Meadows acted opposite each other in 'Aylesbury Dead' in which Fleur plays a character called Tammy. Both films had shoots within the same day with Last Man Standing shooting during the day and Aylesbury dead shooting at night, so hence the character name confusion.
