The boys, Candace, and Doofinschmirtz all set out to make the most of the last day of summer, even if that includes repeating the day over and over again.

This final episode is an ode to all the loyal fans of the series. As a fan of the show for all 8 years of its airing, I was brought to tears reminiscing about all these years and finally saying goodbye to these characters that I grew up with. The show was around for half my life, and that is quite significant. The songs in this episode are incredible, containing the fun, humor, and heart that the show is known for, along with being extremely catchy. It is also fun to see that Doofinschmirtz really isn't a bad guy after all and basically turn him from a likable, bumbling villain to a likable, bumbling hero who puts his daughter ahead of his own goals and aspirations. It also addresses the fact that the Tri-State Area isn't a real geopolitical place and that he actually attains his office legally by holding a vote. All in all, it's an amazing send off for an amazing series.

Funny storyline, whole episode could've been better

I loved the episode in terms of the storyline, as Groundhog Day is one of my favorite movies of all time. This episode was easily the funniest episode of the show for me. However, I kind of expected the creators to go all in for this episode, something along the lines of Summer Belongs to You. I thought the songs in that episode were fantastic, and the plot was great. However, with this episode, the songs were below average. Normally in Phineas and Ferb special episodes, there is one song that is, for lack of a better word, remembered more than other ones, such as the song Summer Belongs to You. In this episode however, a lot of the songs were solid, but not spectacular.

Overall, it was a good episode and I'm glad the creators used the Groundhog Day plot. However, this episode felt like a typical day in the summer for Phineas and Ferb. I thought an episode like Summer Belongs to You would've been a much better series finale due to it being a more complete episode. Other than that, the episode is definitely worth a watch to bid adieu to one of the better shows of this generation.
