The film began principal photography February 1, 2015, and was expected to end on March 21, 2015. However, due to inclement weather and a series of unforeseen delays, on March 21, 2015, approximately 40% of the shooting script remained.
A Kickstarter campaign was launched to raise the necessary funds to shoot the film. Thirty days away from production, the campaign ended, unsuccessfully funded. Rather than delay production, producer and director, Dan Lovetere chose to self-finance the film.
Many of the outdoor sequences of the in the film show 6-10 feet of snow on the ground, representing the snowiest winter in the history of Massachusetts.
