Bright feature debut

Perfect character building and story telling. You watch a good story simply told; every move, every act, every scene planned intricately, and well acted. I even had the feeling that protagonist Serap's non-existent relationship with food and tea ceremonies with father were deliberate, given her concernful, busy and poverty stricken existence in a traditional and usual (partially black economy) working class environment. But we see Serap finally eating, just before and after a strong experience she goes through, but not necessarily in the context I offered. May be director/author did not take it as I imagined it at all. This is a very bright and distinct feature debut by Emine Emel Balci.
