This is another interesting movie - not sure if I prefer it more than the first movie of the Great Fire? Unlike that movie, there's a big question or some big goof error, as to why the heavy rain didn't put out the fire heading to the gas canisters (near the end of the movie)?
So, halfway through the movie, they discover a hurricane is making its way to the town, and Sam has to go and rescue Penny who's in a vulnerable situation of going potholing with the kids in the caves which can flood very soon. Kinda unfortunate that Norman lost his chance in taking gold with him or could've expected him to realise it's fool's gold he pocketed.
Quite a bit of trivia in this movie, like the Pontypandy Fire Station renovations been done, making it bigger and better than before, and whilst under construction, there's the mobile command unit. Also, we're introduced to two new fire recruits: Arnold McKinley and Ellie Phillips, both of them are likeable.
The amphibious rescue vehicle Tom and Moose use and later donate to the fire station, naming it Hydrus.
Quite like the first Fireman Sam movie, this one was also enjoyable and interesting - yet, the big goof over why the heavy rain didn't put out the fire, heading to the gas canisters - is totally unforgettable.
