- Jan saves Jess, but when the former confronts the person responsible for the paedophile ring, Jess manages to escape and join his brother and Hani. Together they get closer to finding the missing boy.
- Racing to Australia in part to save Roth's brother-in-law Remsey from danger, Jesse and Roth were last seen leaping into the water as Border Patrol raided their vessel. As leader of a non-violent independence movement Remsey is being blamed for the murder of the Australian surfers, and with a member of his group found dead at the attack site, the local police claimed it was politically motivated terrorism against the mine - and the surfers fired back. Roth is black with rage that his site was used as a forum for paedophiles and he and Jesse are also desperate to find Callum before it's too late. Determined that his 2IC Gary will pay, things go horribly south and the trail to Callum is lost. With Jesse still missing, Ned contacts a photojournalist at the mine, but Meg Flynn is using the mine job as a cover to gain access to the political hotspot, and doesn't need Ned exposing her intentions. The trail delivers more questions than answers, but what's clear is that Roth is on the radar of some of the most powerful organisations in the world, and the attack on his car in West Papua, and the death of his two 'friends' was more than just a random act - Jesse finds himself back within the intelligence community who are running the digital dragnet over every shred of evidence in a last ditch effort to save Callum. And then a clue arrives from a most unexpected source. They finally have the name of the man who is on his way to collect the boy - can they get there in time?
- Roth and Jesse are washed ashore on a beach in Queensland. Roth's compatriot, Marcus, the leader of the West Papuan independence movement, and his family are taken into immigration detention and quickly deported. Ned works with Meg Flynn to inform the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Marina Baxter (Robyn Malcolm), about the discrepancies in the government's story about Marcus's role in the attacks. Jesse contacts Hani to let her know he is alive, and Roth calls Gary, one of his lieutenants on UndaCounta, to meet them in North Queensland, not knowing that Gary kidnapped Callum. Gary leaves Callum at his unit in Fyshwick, with the boy's "buyer" on his way to the address, and heads to Queensland where he picks up Roth and Jesse and takes them to Roth's family farm. Roth confronts Gary about the paedophilia area of the site, and begins to choke him to force him to divulge Callum's location, but ends up forcing his foot onto his neck, killing him. Jesse flees in horror. He returns to Canberra, where he works with Lara Dixon and her team to identify Callum's buyer, who is intercepted and arrested by the AFP, and Callum is located and freed. Although the operation is a success, Hani's father's visa is revoked and Ned and Jesse face the threat of extradition.
