Whether you know the music of Vaughan Williams intimately or not at all, either way, this is absolutely worth viewing.

Aside from being one of the few documentaries of any kind on Vaughan Williams, this would also have to be the best. It is never overtly technical or academic in its analysis of his music, nor does it dig any dirt up on his personal life. There is a fine balance between the two, particularly with details provided in interviews with the man himself. There is a lot of fine archival footage, as well as personal accounts (many of them quite humorous) from Vaughan Williams' famous students, friends, and family (not the least of which were the interviews with Ursula recorded shortly before her death). A must-see for any aficionado of English 20th Century music.
