This episode has many ups, but somethings I don't like...I'll start with the good stuff, the writing really nailed down the mourning tone for our fallen agent, the anger, the tears, the reminiscing, Jemma's reaction hit me the most! and the whole plan with the heads of Hydra was great! it's good to see Shield have the upper hand for a change, it was cleaver and unexpected too. I also really enjoyed Raina's part it's sort of poetic. Though my favorite part has to be Fitz protecting Skye, even if I disagree with him...oh right, we'll have to get into what I don't like section.
So, what I love about the show is how it always contains nuance, even when the characters are wrong we get presented with the logic in a fair way, it makes them feel more human, this episode, and few to follow, have a bit more of a narrative bias to Skye's side. It's most obvious with how Jemma is treated as if she's the bad guy, despite the fact any doctor worth their degree would be very likely label an alien gas that changes human DNA as dangerous and deem it worth eliminating to be on the safe side, sure I don't think her telling Skye that was the nicest thing on earth, but I see her logic as perfectly sound. Fitz on the other hand was acting like it doesn't matter if Skye is dangerous out of quarantine, her feelings are more important, it does fit his character, however it is clear the writers want us to take his side, while I would have preferred they left it more neutral....if I'm honest though, I'm giving the show more grief on behalf of the fandom, who got really into that bad vs. good narrative, regarding both the inhumans and Bobbi&Mack story-lines, it sort of made the fandom unbearable back then and it colored my feelings about the show itself, which is unfair, but it is what it is.
